The Real Caterpie

After a hike in the woods, getting lost, getting mauled by a pointy stick, and finding an old high school photo of George Lucas... (jk) I discovered this little guy stuck to my jacket after I got out of the woods!

This is a Spicebush Swallowtail Caterpillar. Which happens to be the state to-be-butterfly of Mississippi! And it's also the caterpillar that the Pokemon Caterpie is based off of. Cool huh? Oooorrrrr maybe it's a Tiger Swallowtail... Wutevs. :T

This pic surprised me with how much detail my camera actually captured. My camera is choosy about what pics come out the way they are supposed to. Surprisingly I got a bunch of these rare detailed pics from my camera all while at Mississippi Palisades. And I mean DETAILED! Wait until you see them. And I did not use a tripod or zoom for any of them (including this one) which is even more surprising!
